Anish Patel

England Delegate – World Indoor Cricket Federation | Men’s Vice-Captain | Head Coach – Women & Masters Women
Anish Patel is a highly experienced international indoor cricketer and coach, with a lifelong passion for the indoor format that began at the age of 16. He studied at Loughborough University, completing a BSc in Sports Technology alongside a second BSc in Sports Management.
A former semi-professional outdoor player (playing in 6 first class games), Anish has enjoyed a distinguished international indoor career with England. He is England’s joint most capped player, representing his country in 89 international matches, many of them as captain, and has competed in six Indoor Cricket World Cups. He currently serves as England Men’s Vice-Captain and most recently featured in the 2025 World Cup in Colombo.
Off the court, Anish plays a key leadership and governance role as England Delegate to the World Indoor Cricket Federation (WICF). As a coach, he brings extensive international experience to player development pathways and is currently Head Coach of the England Women’s and Masters Women’s programmes. He is now focused on preparing the Girls squads for upcoming Junior World Series competition in South Africa.
Anish is an ECB Level 3 Advanced Coach and is widely recognised for his commitment to developing young talent, strong leadership, and deep understanding of the international indoor game.
Neeta Patel

Head Safeguarding Officer
Neeta has over 20 years’ experience in the development of female cricketers across both indoor and outdoor formats. She has worked extensively within the county pathway, coaching female age-group players with the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Board.
At international level, Neeta has coached and managed England Indoor Cricket squads at every World Cup since 2011, bringing a wealth of elite-level experience to her role.
Neeta is a Director of AIS Ltd and is currently responsible for managing the Action Indoor Cricket Centre in Leicester. She holds the ECB Level 2 Coaching Qualification and the ECB Club Coach Award. With her extensive background, long-standing involvement in player development, and strong understanding of welfare standards, she is the organisation’s most experienced and highly qualified Safeguarding Officer, committed to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
Dave Brown

Head Coach - England Men
Dave has been an ECB Level 2 coach for 19 years. Formerly the Staffs Under 10 County & District Coach, Junior club coach at Cobras Indoor Cricket, Dunstall and Staffordshire skill set lead in Wicket Keeping and Fielding. Dave is a now focusing his time purely into the indoor format. Invaluable experience was gained in New Zealand 2018 where Dave acted as an Assistant Coach to the 13 and Under squad, who performed so brilliantly on their first outing on the world stage. Since then he has coached successful Super League teams, represented England as a player in over 35s in Cape Town in October 2019, Dubai Tri-Series in 2022 and more recently in the 2025 Masters World Series in Sri Lanka.
As the Head Coach for the 13 & Under boys squad at the Junior World Series in Dubai 2023, Dave and the team managed another semi final placing, losing narrowly to New Zealand.
Having been appointed to the role of Men’s Head Coach in 2024, Dave coached the side in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka where a new look younger side put in some solid performances, which included beating a strong India side. Since then Dave has been Head Coach of the Men’s side for the UAE home series and the Open World Series in 2025.
With a strong focus on a Team First approach and currently winning 18 from 28 games to date, Dave continues to drive the England Men’s side forward.

Head of the AICE Boys Emerging Player Pathway. Has assisted/managed teams at the Junior World Series, Open World Cup and Emerging Stars Tour. Still (trying) to play the game indoors and out.

Boys 17s and Under Head Coach
Our resident Australian! World Masters MVP in 2016. A giant of the English game, still playing for Derby Cobras. Assistant coach of the 17s team that won the Plate (finishing fifth) at the last Junior World Series. Head Coach of the 17s team that won the recent Emerging Stars tournament in Bangalore.
Sam Staley

Boys 13 and Under Assistant Head Coach
The newest, and youngest member of the coaching team. Sam brings youthful enthusiasm to the table as well as experience of, recently, playing at the Junior World Series and Open World Cup. Sam also provides invaluable statistical and analytical back up to the coaching team.
AICE is also supported by a trusted Health, Medical and
Rehabilitation Team that have in depth understanding of
their specialty alongside hands on experience of the
demands of our sport and tournament formats.
