Action Indoor Cricket was well represented at the 2021 ECB Bunbury festival with six U15 SuperLeague players taking part in the weeklong competition played at ECB HQ at Loughborough. The Bunbury festival sees four U15 representative sides (London & East, South & West, Midlands and North) play against each other in both T20 and fifty over games. Sam Seecharan (Lions), Tazeem Ali and Yusuf Bin Naeem (Hurricanes), Sinel Gunarathne and Jay Maden (Warriors) all took part with Jay Maden representing London and East whilst the other boys represented a strong Midlands team.
As anyone who watched the U15 indoor SuperLeague will know these are a very talented group and they certainly showed that through the week, Jay Maden scored 76 runs and took 4 wickets for the London and East team, Yusuf Bin Naeem scored 94 runs averaging 37, Sam Seecharan scored 149 runs including 2 half centuries and was the 5th highest run scorer in the competition, Sinel Gunarathne scored 117 runs including 2 half centuries and Tazeem Ali was the 2nd highest wicket taker in the competition with 12 wickets. The Midlands team won the 50 over title and were runners up in the T20 comp.
From all the coaches at Action Indoor Cricket we are really pleased to see players involved in our England Training Squads going on to do well at the highest possible level given their age and we are confident they will go on to the highest level at both indoor and outdoor cricket.
