Action Indoor Cricket England run junior age groups in accordance with the World Indoor Cricket Federations (WICF), Junior World Series age categories (These age groups are listed below). The WICF run a Junior World Series event every three years. Whilst our initial focus is on the next Junior World Series, our squads and our Elite Performance Programme are designed to prepare teams for the following cycle as well. For example in our 13&U Squad, we will train players who may have two shots at the 13&U tournament, this ensures that players who may miss out on a tournament because of their age this cycle do not miss out for the following cycle because they have had no training or experience.
AICE operate teams in categories of 17&U girls, 17&U boys, 15&U boys and 13&U boys. Players are chosen to represent these sides, from playing initially at local centres (see Get Involved) or in the National Cup. From here they will then be chosen to represent in either the National League or Super League and nominated to join the Elite Performance Program.
