England lose home series 4-2 to Sri Lanka

England took on Sri Lanka at Action Indoor Sports Birmingham earlier this month. The series went all the way to the last over of the last game where England could have secured a series draw, but it was not to be as a tough Sri Lankan team came up trumps and took the victory in the last game. The final result leaving SrI Lanka 4-2 up in the series. The optimists out there say that this is a vast improvement on the 6-0 loss England took in Columbo 2018, however it seems like England may have missed a trick with this one.

Congratulations to Sri Lanka for victory on a hard fought series and coming away with their first ever away series win. A special mention also to England player, Luke Gunn, for coming away with the MVP award for the series.

England Debutants at Men’s Level for this series included: Nav Patel, Tom Clarke, Jaedyn Bartosh-Short, Alex Nel, Ben Scott
