Since the 2017 World Cup the Men have competed in two International series both against Sri Lanka. They travelled to Columbo in 2018 and suffered a crushing 6-0 loss. In January 2020 they played at home against Sri Lanka and lost again, this time 4-2. For more information about the 2020 home series please check out the International News section. Both of these series losses were extremely disappointing especially after achieving some success in the 2017 World Cup when the side won the World Cup Plate after three previous unsuccessful attempts.

 

The squad has since taken some serious steps forward. Better fitness, tournament preparation and and belief in our ability paid off with 3 wins over South Africa in Dubai in March 2022. Most importnatly this series showed the talents and mental strength of our younger players coming through the Junior squads and EPP system.
